Can we correct anything?

Follow up to the past article; http://www.lehighvalleyconservative.com/school-taxes/http://www.lehighvalleyconservative.com/political-arrogance-you-tell-me/I wrote back to this person and ask a couple of questions for clarity and which at this point are not worth repeating. The person was in for one term and I really don’t care how many years that is (They didn’t say what the length of the term was) because divide it by whatever number of years you want to, it is still a big percentage increase per year (2-3-5 year term divided into 47% is still a big number for any increase). Now I ask you is this right, does anybody know how you would stop something like this.
The poorer people on fixed income, how can they continue down this path? We were going to have property tax relief from the incoming gambling revenue and what did we get from that? Does anyone really know those dollars of relief to the Taxpayers? Here is what is going on if anyone really wants to know.
“Our district increased taxes 47% while I was on the board. This year they are proposing a 5.8% increase again. One of the reasons I got off the board was because I could no longer be a part of that, was wasting my time because our superintendent knew who he could manipulate to get his 5 votes. It usually was a 5-4 split.”
I would suspect that is what is happening all over the country. Just exactly were would you suggest one starts to correct anything, just one thing.
Is there any difference between Republican and Democrat? REALLY—Tell me what it is.
