Can we survive this?

The one thing Israel has that we do not have yet is the fact that they are living on the edge of destruction, the very edge of death. Some how truth must come to the forefront in that situation. We in America have drifted off the mark of being truthful and it is critical that we recognize that fact and I’m not sure that we will. I have put some thoughts together in an attempt to show this is true of our selves and that the enemy is within the gates.
One:
We the people no longer seek truth but pleasure.
Two:
The political forces in Washington no longer seek truth but power.
Three:
The leaders in Washington no longer hear nor do they care to hear what each other say and they certainly do not hear us.
Four:
They no longer care for unity of effort for the cause of common good in the country. It is power and self that is the driving force in today’s politics. Give a way and welfare programs are not common good.
Five:
The politicians cannot see nor will they listen to reason, that indeed destruction will come from within. This is a manifestation of folly and very troubling.
My number one concern is not the Terrorist but what lies within our gates. The jettisoning of Christ and Christianity has closed the door on any correction of the problem. We have taken the true solution to our problem and refuse to consider Him.
We have been so confused and mislead we no longer know a “Statesman” from a “Traitor” and treason of 1776 is not recognized as treason in 2007. If you think that sounds like some religious right wing nut case speaking guess again and let me give you this.
Treason from Within:
“A nation can survive its fools, and even he ambitious. But it cannot survive treason from within. An enemy at the gates is less formidable, for he is known and carries his banner openly. But the traitor moves amongst those within he gate freely, his sly whispers rustling through all the alleys, heard in the very halls of government itself. For the traitor appears not a traitor; he speaks in accents familiar to his victims, and he wears their face and their garments, he appeals to the baseness that lies deep in the hearts of all men. He rots the soul of a nation, he works secretly and unknown in the night to undermine the pillars of the city, he infects the body politic, so that it can no longer resist. A murder is less to fear.”
Marcus Tullius Cicero 106—43 BC
It is interesting that Cicero states “—baseness that lies deep in the hearts of all men.” AND that baseness rots the soul of a nation.
Can it not happen again in this country? Can we survive this?
