“Change” Really?
Mar 13th, 2008 by Randy Toman
We have heard so much about “Change” these days that I thought I’d better correct my statement regarding what I said about it. I said, Senator O’bama wants’ change for change sake and that is just not true. After thinking about it last night (3/11/08) I found myself realizing what is really being done using the word “Change”. First of all using the word change generally will have you think positive and immediately think the person means some change for good or to make something better. But that (at least what I believe) is not what is going on. I have not heard every time O’bama used the word but it is safe to say the few times I have heard him say it he was implying a correction in how or what President Bush’s or his administration was doing because he was botching things up and that Bush had very little ability to manage anything correctly. I think this phenomenon is called “Bush bashing”. Well political sabotage has another use for “Change” and it isn’t positive or something good and it goes something like this.First of all the one who wants to “Change” something for his benefit will create a problem. In this case we have that in place it’s called George Bush. So it was easy to start with a problem of (so they say) major magnitude.
Second whip the folks into an emotional frenzy and completely eliminate any chance of the people thinking clearly. In our case with Senator O’bama we have a borderline religious cult and if not that a frenzy of emotions that are carrying the people along. We have some created opposition to the frenzy countered by a heightened emotional hysteria with no logic of thought coming from the O’bama followers.
Third Senator O’bama offers the people a solution to what the people think is a problem. O’bama tell his followers two things. First we can solve all the injustices of the Bush administration and the misguided direction the Republican Party is leading the people, by taking advantage of “Change” which he is offering. But even more important it (change) can only be accomplished if he is put in charge of the “Change engine” as president, so voting for him is of the most urgency and importance.
Senator O’bama has put in place the classic “Hegelian” principle for “Change” in politics and thereby having the distinct possibly of success. I’m talking about serious change the type of change that has the potential to change “Western Civilization”. He and his partners are using Hegel’s principles for “Change”.
Thesis— create a problem
Antithesis— generate opposition and frenzy.
Synthesis— offer a solution to the created problem.
If the Republican Leadership doesn’t wake-up to what is happening they will really get change, both in the party and western civilization.
