The magistrate does not have the absolute power http://www.lehighvalleyconservative.com/the-book-of-romans-131-7/ as magistrate to rule as he pleases, so neither is it the right of the electorate to choose and/or exercise their right to vote into office any men who they wish and that are unqualified. If the citizen wishes to be ruled with fairness they will need men of character who have the understanding of the times and that will rule with righteousness and justice. Both the Electorate and the Magistrate must fall under the direction of divine law, the one having qualifications for the office and the other choosing to elect the wise and just person who is under conviction and conscience with understanding of their duty to God and country.
This understanding of these responsibilities have been lost for sometime now with the culture sliding into a society of greed and self-indulgences—-not caring who was in charge or filling the government office, as long as, the citizen gets his so called fair share of the pie. “We the people” are ignorant of the covenant with God and what He has said in His Holy Bible.
Let me show you how ignorant we have become.
Deuteronomy 1:13 (King James Bible)
“Take you wise men, and understanding, and known among your tribes, and I make them rulers over you.”
Deuteronomy 17: 15 (King James Bible)
“—-one from among thy brethren shalt thou set king over thee: thou mayest not set a stranger over thee, which is not thy brother.”
Does anyone believe that we have been paying attention to anything but ourselves? We as an electorate have failed miserably in choosing our leaders and it is no wonder we have what we have.
Ecclesiastes 10:16 (King James Bible)
“Woe to thee, O Land, thy king is a child, and thy princes eat in the morning!”
The warnings are there and come to us over and over—-who we are to choose:
Exodus 18:21 (King James Bible)
“Moreover thou shalt provide out of all the people able men, such as fear God, men of truth, hating covetousness; and place such over them,—-”
2 Samuel 23:3 (King James Bible)
“The God of Israel said, the Rock of Israel spake to me, He that ruleth over men must be just, ruling in the fear of God.”
There is a three areas or points necessity for consideration that one needs to understand when voting for a candidate, if we are to have the type of person that should be chosen for an elected position within government that will bring forth the necessary righteousness to turn things around.
1/ “Knowledge” of or the working of the government position he seeks;
This area the person needs the intellectual abilities to know the law of the land as applied to that government position he is running for.
2/ “Morals and Ethics” incorporate into what I will call the talents of a cultivated understanding of fairness and justice along with his understanding of responsibilities
3/ “Religious” understanding of who he is and how he must act toward God, walking in the fear of the Lord understanding of the Bible.
This third point is almost always over looked and/or not considered because we do not have a religious test for our elected offices. Separation of “Church and State” in the political arena has been a disaster to society and as the culture drifts further away from God and Biblical teaching we have less and less, that will hold us together, and less holding us on the right path. There comes a time in this evilness that we find ourselves going in the wrong direction, on the wrong path, heading for death and destruction as is today.
Allow me to quote Scripture.
Psalms 1:1,2 (King James Bible)
1/ “Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful.”
2/ “But his delight is in the law of the Lord; and in His law doth he meditate day and night.”
Psalms 2:10-12 (King James Bible)
10/ “Be wise now therefore, O ye kings; be instructed, ye judges of the earth.”
11/ “Serve the Lord with fear, and rejoice with trembling.”
12/ “Kiss the Son, lest He be angry, and ye perish from the way, when His wrath is kindled but a little. Blessed are all they that put their trust in Him.”
Proverbs 14: 34 (King James Bible)
34/ “Righteousness exalteth a nation: but sin is a reproach to any people.”
Proverbs 28: 4 (King James Bible)
4/ “They that forsake the law praise the wicked: but such as keep the law contend with them.”
Proverbs 29: 2 (King James Bible)
2/ “When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice: but when the wicked beareth rule, the people mourn.”
We must be aware of our liberties and where they come from and not allow ourselves to drift so far on to the wrong path—going in the wrong direction. We have rebelled against the commandments of the Lord and dishonor Jesus Christ who has saved our souls—-and—–WE SHALL SEE——–if the Lord will have mercy on us. WHY because we have been on the wrong path for years not just the few months that I came to realize it.
I’ll close with this Scripture Verse;
Deuteronomy 30:19 (King James Bible)
19/ “I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live.”
Are we choosing life—here in this country?????
