Civil War?
Oct 11th, 2011 by The Outsider
Obama and his Communist friends are whipping up frenzy against the job creators within the population. Only rich conservatives of course! This has been Obama’s intention since his election. He is anti business and anti Capitalist, pro union and pro Socialist and has has been encouraging these anti Capitalist protestors since the movement began. This once great country will be turned upside down if this continues. Unfortunately, our young has been taught to hate anyone who is successful unless they are Democrat liberals like Soros, Immelt, Pelosie and union leaders. The protestors should be protesting the failures in DC, not successful corporations that create wealth and jobs. This is the entitlement mentality at work and it reminds me of the hippy movement back in the mid to late 60’s! Now, we have these same people, fully grown and wanting to destroy everything in sight. This is how these classless mobs get what they want! Civil war is coming and Obama is at the head, with his armies forming in the streets! The “change” Obama wants, is here!

Let’s be careful not to mix issues here. Obama is certsinly no friend of capitalism…but neither is Wall Street. Capitalism and free enterprise consist of free citizens doing business freely with one another. Today’s banking system and Wall Street as a whole is characterized by cronyism, with big corporations in cooperation with big government. The big money today is not to be made in producing or providing anything…it’s made by “working the system”. This is how the big boys on Wall Street personally bring down hundreds of millions of dollars through financial gimmickry. The whole Federal Reserve system enables this by “creating” money (an actual impossibility in an honest system). Before condemning the protestors we need to understand that many of them have a misguided understanding of the solutions but are absolutely correct that the American people are being shafted, and our economy gutted by politically connected “capitalists” who are anything but.
Also, let’s realize that these corporatists manipulate media and information, tricking millions into the false diversion of blaming the “Republicans” of the “Democrats”, when both parties are at fault. Remember the Bush half fo the bailouts? They count on us to argue over our petty party loyalties while they steal our country out from under us. Wake up.
Arrow,
I see Wall Street as a place where making money for their shareholders is of utmost importance. We all want to make money for the sake of maintaining our livelihood. The big problem that Wall Street faces is where to make the money they need to pay the bills. If our industries are closing down, they turn to operations overseas. Where else can they go? If one really thinks about it, we would be in dire trouble if we had to rely on our own industry at this time in history. I don’t think we would be able to afford our own products, since labor is too high. We are partially living off the backs of foreign labor and the politicians know it. They also know that by purchasing products from (China) at one third the cost of what our products would cost, saves us a lot of money and allows the government to increase our taxes, knowing we won’t mind since we can purchase our goods cheaply. (It’s like building casinos to keep the taxes down for “the schools”!) This of course is a solution that will turn sour in about 20 years when jobs leave America because we will have less working class to buy anything, regardless of where it is made. One other point I would like to make is that too many jobs are not real jobs that produce wealth. They are jobs that I classify as “services”. Most of these jobs are made necessary by lawsuits, such as insurance, extra safety measures and are perpetuated by government over regulation. Again, most of this is caused by politicians wanting to secure their positions!
If we were to look at our own investments, we would find that the many of the markets we are invested in are not American. We have the same situation when buying our products at any outlet in America.
I don’t equate growing the government as an anti Capitalist attitude among the Republicans as I believe it is something they do to keep themselves in power. The Democrats do the same thing but they do have a genuine dislike for Capitalism. Therefore, I don’t think the GOP hates Capitalism but they are caught in the middle of what Capitalism has become. We are too dependent on foreign sources for our goods. The same goes for our energy sources. We need to drill here, now! The Democrats are against drilling for our own oil but continue to look at green energy solutions that will not even come close to solving our energy needs, at least for the next 50 years or more.
Our government has spent our financial future, taking us into bankruptcy and it is solely for the purpose of keeping themselves in power. When it is all said and done, (as a country), we are only worth the labor of our people, our natural resources and our intellectual property. We all know our labor (production) is diminishing at a fast pace, our natural resources are diminishing and our intellectual property is becoming extinct in the consumer markets but doing well in the defense industry, however, the Chinese are catching up fast in that arena.
The bottom line in my humble opinion, is that we have become spoiled, a bit too comfortable in our lifestyles and have moved away or abandoned our religious roots, the foundation for what is right or wrong!
Thanks, good discussion!
The root of the problem is that NO economic system, including free enterprise (which is actually no “system” at all), can operate in the absence of morality and ethics. And that, for the most part, is what characterizes Wall Street…a total lack of ethics. True free enterprise has been replaced by economic darwinism: use power and position to grab as much as you can as quickly as you can, with no regard for the future of for other people. Defending the Wall Street crowd as though they were just moral businessmen out to make an honest profit is, I’m afraid, living in the past…which wasn’t perfect, but was not the fascist oligarchy and might-makes-right situation that we face today.
If we don’t shed the childish and outdated left-right, conservative-liberal, Democrat-Republican way of thinking and break things down to their true basic elements we will fail to address the problems. And along those lines, welfare is welfare (and theft), whether it’s given a few thousand dollars a month to a welfare mother or a few billion dollars a month to some punk with a BMW on Wall Street. Let’s stop defending theft and greed on one side vs. the other, and refuse to accept it from anyone.
Question: are the people who appoint each other as CEO’s of large corporations, and then pull down HUNDREDS OF MILLIONS OF DOLLARS PER YEAR, earning it or stealing it? How about Bankers who raid the US treasury for bailouts? This is NOT free enterprise.
Arrow,
I don’t disagree that the root problem with our society is the lack of
ethics and morality. For our Constitution to be effective, we must have
these elements of humanity. That is what we all must build on and it will
take many years. Perhaps, a bit of suffering will have to happen first. We
have had it too good for too long and have become spoiled by replacing our
moral convictions with government promises. The destruction of the current
economic system in place is not the answer because what will replace it,
will no doubt be worse. Government is part the problem, not the answer. In a
way, we are the problem since we elect the government leaders. Hearts must
be changed, not “systems”. I do believe there is hope within the Republican
party, but not the Democrat party, which is really the Socialist/Communist
party. Our churches have been affected by politics and have to change and
very soon. What is currently happening in Greece and other countries will
happen here if we don’t get our act together soon. The “occupy” movement is
being fed and encouraged by the Democrat party, the unions, the
entertainment industry and the MSM. In contrast, the tea party movement is
an attempt to hold government accountable and to shrink the size and power
of both parties.
