Contaminated Computer Hard Drives

I just ran across a story on WND about hard drives coming from China that contain a “Trojan Horse” type of virus that relays information about what is on your hard drive, to China. The question is: Where to in China and how did this get into the U.S. without detection. The other question is who in China wants this info and what for?
