Cultural Contradiction
Don’t you think this is a bit much—so much so—-that you would think someone should start either complaining or at least rising their voice:
The last paragraph of the article;
“V. I. Lenin may or may not have actually said that “the capitalists will sell us the rope with which we will hang them,” but whoever said it understood the foolishness of many American educators, politicians, and liberal do-gooders. Here is a New York elementary school opening the door so the Islamic worldview can walk right and spread their propaganda unhindered.”
I don’t know if Lenin said it or not——what I do know is Daniel Bell wrote the book “The Cultural Contradictions of Capitalism” 1976. Bell was part of the left wing group that was involved with the “Frankfurt School” at Columbia. He taught at Columbia and finished out his career at Harvard. The book—cultural contradiction—was an analysis of the cultural changes of recent decades, their interaction with the capitalist economy, and the crisis that capitalism was being undermined.
The interesting development of Bell’s theory incorporates Lenin’s belief, if in fact Lenin said the above. It must be understood that one of the driving beliefs of the “Progressives” of the turn of the century (1900’s) was the “eroding foundation” argument against Capitalism”—the belief capitalism would destroy itself from within. Bell now could bring in the thoughts of the last half of the 20th century. He argued that contemporary capitalism—based upon advertising—new forms of entertainment—-expanding credit—-increasingly promoted hedonism—–and irresponsibility—–these would all come together in undermining the system with its work ethic—-frugality—-and deferred gratification on which capitalism depends.
The attack is coming on two fronts;
1/ The attack on Christianity and everything it presents in teaching standards and principles—-from—-what the family should be—to God and man’s salvation
2/ The over whelming of the government and financial (capitalism) system through debt and the welfare state.
As the virtues of front 1/ continue to slide—-it will attack and force a slide in front 2/. We have already reached a point in history were the two front have joined force in their efforts to make it an all out attack against the American Culture and the Christian way of life. Without the solidarity of Christian teaching, which had grounded the American way of life, any and all evil can and will attack the country.
One must note that capitalism can not of itself add those qualities of work ethics, frugality and deferred gratification to the system—they must be injected through some other source—-like the teaching of the Bible and Christianity—-and be brought into the system by the individual who carries the standard and principles with him.
This fact must have been seen by the leading liberal and progressive like Marx, Lenin and the revolutionaries of the day——-for all dictators know this simple fact. Keep adding to the pile of pleasures—all the while keep taking away the ethic—you need do nothing else—destruction will come.
WE SHALL SEE—-don’t you think?????

When good citizens and staunch American patriots want to point out the obvious facts that the American culture is deserting everything that made us great, they are ignored and ridiculed. When those that are helping to destroy traditional America warn us what will happen, it never makes the news! Are we stupid or are we being brainwashed? I suggest that it is both!
Good article. I would add that capitalism is, in a way, destroying itself, not through anything wrong with free markets, but through unbridled greed.
Free market capitalism cannot function without morality. It cannot function in a climate that is largely dominated by greed. It can withstand greed…but not when greed becomes dominant, as we have today. Wall Street has partnered with Washington to forcibly take (steal) (plunder) trillions of dollars from average people.
This is not a problem with free market capitalism. No other system can even work, with or without greed. But it is a hard fact. Unless people return to Biblical morality in all areas of life, there is no answer.
Question: is a corporate CEO actually doing enough good for his company to earn $80 million per year, or is he just manipulating a system where he is in a position to TAKE it? Not just CEO’s…bankers, fund managers, and all the other parasites who make more money than they could eve spend by producing NOTHING of value.
Does anyone notice that many in government, the mainstream news media, the entertainment industry and even some in the legal system, are trying their best to destroy our moral values by attacking our faith in God? Do they care about morality or money and power?
Outsider, to answer your good questions in the order you asked them:
1) Yes.
2) Money and power.
