East Penn Can we Grow-Up?

As for you and others getting tired of being caught in the middle I can understand your frustration and anxiety. I to have those feelings and I constantly wonder why they (the Liberal element or any other element for that matter) cannot see the logic of the argument and agree with the conclusions.
For the issue is not (in this argument) to undermine the school district and their supposed high raking and excellent rating as a school district. It was my intention to question and argue that the school must re-evaluate the schools spending policies and cut back significantly and balance cost of operation against income of the future. My second point is that management has a good old boys club going and the true seriousness of the inefficiency is being over looked and allowed to slide without consideration, passing it by with a smile.
Now let me also point out that the educational system as a whole is failing and any score cards you look at in this country shows that to be a fact. Test scores over the years have shown that there is a decline in those grades.
And further more those grades do not show the whole truth of the matter. For no one would dare consider the moral direction of the educational system because, God forbid we bring God into the picture. But let us not bring that concern of mine into this debate.
In case you haven’t noticed people are fed-up with any number of bureaucratic government agencies failing to manage the Tax Payers money with anything that resembles efficiency. I am simply point out these facts along with people on fixed retirement incomes cannot afford these continued tax increases. So get out of the middle, grow-up and pick a side and we might get something done. I’ll at least know what you are trying to say I can’t hear you from the middle. Jesus Christ said, you are either for Him or against Him, there is no neutral spot you can stand-in period.

I would like to respond to three points you’ve made in your post.
First, the idea that a person whose views are not strictly in line with Democratic or Republican ideals don’t carry any weight because you “can’t hear them from the middle”. If that is the case, is it not our responsibility to try and listen to what people have to say instead of trying to ideologically pigeonhole someone into one of two options? Considering how vast the human experience can be, it seems like we as a nation need to understand that there are always more than two sides to every issue.
Second, I would like to address your “…you are either for Him or against Him” line of thought. First of all, if you want to quote scripture, feel free to mention where you got that quote from. A brief internet search turns up no such quotes taken from the gospels. Also, this line of thought is an example of the type of thinking that incites people to religious persecution. For example, Islam views Jesus as a great prophet, but does not worship him as Christianity does. By your line of reasoning, they are somehow “against” Jesus just because they are not 100% “for” him.
And finally, to address your not-so-subtle assertion that adding God back into schools will somehow turn around the entire education system. May I politely remind you that things like vehicles, airplanes, electricity, and computers - not to mention physics, chemistry, biology, and mathematics - were all invented without the help or guidance of any deity. If children only learned the bible in school, none of these inventions would have ever been discovered. If you want to inject God into schools, then that is your opinion, but don’t delude yourself into thinking that God will somehow help students to understand algebra.
