I like Dan Gilbert and what he stands for and have read his articles and understand his positions. The big problem we have is the lobbyists and who they will give their money and support to. Our system of government is so corrupt that I don't see much of a chance for a good man to get into government against the politicians who make promises and offer something in return for the campaign money they get. Besides the money problem, I believe the people in power, such as Kennedy, Hillary and many others, including a few rino's, will do anything to win. By that, I mean using smear tactics and digging up any dirt they can get on their competition. If they can't find any, they'll make it up. In my view, people like Kennedy needs to retire, he has been in government too long and he's useless! I don't know what the solution is. If the American people weren't so dumbed down, they would know more about government, to care who gets elected. One must understand the past to be effective in understanding what must be done to secure the future. I don't see too many young people that really care about the same things we care about. Everywhere I go, I see young people with earings hanging on their eyebrows, tongues, lips and noses along with tatoos everywhere. I'm sorry, but that doesn't look like someone with any pride or that has any concern about the future. During the Katrina disaster, I saw people of all ages, walking up the hill towards the Dome, that looked as though they could hardly make it because of their excessive weight. Where is the pride in our people? Some have pride but they seem to be in the minority. We only need to look at our society in general to realize why we have a bunch of self serving flunkies in office. Too many people want their freebies and are not willing to work as long as the government keeps bailing them out. The entitlement and victim crowds are growing larger and faster than the working class and this is destroying America from within.
