Give up Already, GM!

“GMAC, the former lending arm of General Motors Co., is in talks with the Treasury Department for a third injection of taxpayer aid, a further sign of the U.S. government’s entrenchment in the U.S. auto industry.”

I suspect the Dems and their financial ties with the UAW keeps them snugly in bed with one another. Isn’t it nice to be able to buy a company with taxpayer money without asking the taxpayers? That’s what Obama did and now he feels committed to keep the failing General Motors alive. Does Obama care about the workers? I doubt it. If he did, he would call for the ousting of the union in an effort to save the jobs of the workers. Obama has to know that the UAW had a big part in GM and Chrysler’s failure to compete. When will the workers wake up and rebel against the union being too closely tied to the government? Why isn’t the union as much interested in saving the jobs of the workers instead of sucking up to the Democrats? The union’s job is to look out for the interests of their members. That should include not only their wages and benefits like healthcare, but maintaining their jobs. What good is it to be paid well and lose jobs to the foreign owned companies competition in the end. Does the union care about competing? They do not! That is why they snooker up to the anti-capitalists in the Democrat party. They give away much of the workers’ union dues to keep Democrats in charge; certainly a loser for the workers!
