Gun control does it work?

I received the NRA Freedom First magazine (August 2007) and it had an article based on a FBI study. The study showed that instituting gun control laws forbidding the purchasing and carrying of handguns will do nothing in curbing violent crime where guns are used. The study showed criminals get their guns through illegal sources and gun control laws will do nothing in stopping the criminal element from getting guns.
If this study is true “Why” should we even be talking about gun control laws? Would it not be evil and not in the best interest of the citizen for our politician to keep pushing gun control legislation. Why would they do that? Are they (the politicians) in fact evil or just ignorant of the truth of this study and of the issue? Have they not read this report? If they in fact have seen and read it and found it to be false “WHY” haven’t they taken the FBI to task and demanded a correction? Are these not fair questions and is it not the Representatives job to seek truth and secure are safety.

If I lived in any metropolitan area in the country, I would NOT want to post a sign on my home anywhere that said, “NO GUNS IN THIS HOUSE”, unless I wanted to welcome someone into breaking in. We all should know by now that the Libs would rather blame “things” instead of the criminals. Things can’t be held accountable! They wouldn’t want to pass judgment on potential voters. Case in point: Bill Clinton gave Puerto Rican criminals, (convicted of murder), a free pass out of prison, so Hillary, running for the Senate of New York, could get more votes from that segment of the people. In my view, she became a Senator with blood on her and Bill’s hands.
Where was the press on this one? Absent as usual!
