How should we be Governed?
Aug 29th, 2007 by Randy Toman
“Tune in almost any liberal pundit and he’ll tell you: There is a religion that is bent on destroying our constitution, stripping our liberties, and imposing religious rule on the U.S. And guess what that religion is?”
This is from an advertising e-mail I got the other week.
The item being sold was Robert Spencer’s book “Religion of Peace” Why Christianity is and Islam Isn’t.
My point is not to ask which one is peaceful but to ask if the liberal pundits are saying that, and which religion are they referring too. I don’t think I would be wrong if I said they would be talking about Christianity. If that is a true assumption “Why” have the liberal Pundits focused in on Christianity and not some other religion? Why is Christianity singled out?
If the liberal Pundit is talking about Christianity and I believe they are, they should be made aware of this. There is only two ways in which man can be governed. Either by the law of God or by the law of man, and the God that this is referring to is the God of the Holy Bible. Your faith in whatever and whoever will determine your response to what I have just written. But let me say quickly, the God of the Holy Bible is the one our founding fathers prayed to and it was through His law this country was founded. We here in this country have jettison Him and His law and that my dear folks is a scary thing. I would welcome hearing the “Why” you think this is not scary and not true, or “Why” you think it is true (we have jettison Him) and it is scary.
Paul writes to the Corinthians in 2nd. Corinthian 5:7 “For we walk by faith not by sight.”
What do you have faith in man’s law or God’s law?
Let me show you what one speaker of the house said,
“All societies of men must be governed in some way or other. The less they may have of stringent State Government, the more they must have of individual self-government. The less they rely on public law or physical force, the more they must rely on private moral restraint.
Men, in a word, must necessarily be controlled, either by a power within them, either by the word of God, or by the strong arm of man; either by the Bible, or by the bayonet. It may do for other countries and other government to talk about the State supporting religion. Here, under our own free institutions, it is Religion which must support the State.”
Mr. Robert Winthrop. (1809-1894) Speaker of the house 1838-1840
“…. Religion which must support the State.”
Tell that to some politician today, IF you can or liberal pundit, IF he will listen.

THE PROPAGANDA STARTS WITH “CHRISTIAN WARRIORS”
CNN’s Christiana Amanpour’s special report on “Christian Warriors” is a perfect example of what Randy is talking about. She seems to blame the “right wing Christians” for all the bad that is happening in the Mideast and America. She mentions the words “right wing and Christian” many times and how they are becoming more and more active in politics. When she talks about the Mideast, she refers to the Palestinians as people who just want to get their land back from the Jews who took it from them! Never does she refer to the Atheistic left who has been involved in destroying the American way of life by removing any mention of God or Christ in all public places. She blames Christians and conservatives for electing Bush and other Republicans to lead this country and for electing Christian men to the US Supreme court who will someday probably overturn Roe v Wade. A good article on this important subject is found at this address.
I meant this article to be posted to Religion.
It can also be listed under “Media” as a category.
