It may not be that Bad?

Every man whether lawmaker, or law executor or voter, should have his conscience enlightened by Gods’ word and judge his duty through this lense of understanding. For any fool to say this cannot be or should not be. I ask by what guidance should man honor his duty that is to God anyway. And secondly we have the transgression of Gods’ law being the act and therefore the sin. But our guilt is only a caused emotion affecting ones conscience. If a person is convinced there is no violation there cannot be a guilt or feeling of having done wrong. The following statements would be difficult to argue against, because there is appointed a time once to die and then the judgement. Both of the following statements hinge on discernment, rules, and actions.
1.) Man is guided by some body of rules Gods or Man’s and acts accordingly.
2.) If a person thinks he has not done wrong, when in fact he has, his conscience will not find him guilty and you will need the authority of scripture to convict him and not mans law.
I wish to make a few remarks with regards to my two points just made. The presidential candidates will carry into the White House their own rules and guidelines they have adopted through life. It is then not so much where they stand on any given issue but “Why” they are there? This “Why” cannot be over stated? “Why” because it will tell how they arrived at that position, their true character, and his ability to understand. And the second thing is, depending on the candidate’s beliefs their interpretation of wrongness or rightness may not agree with yours. Worse it will tell you if there is any possibility of the person ever coming to any agreement with your position. One quick example comes to mind some people think it is right (no guilt) to blow themselves up along with others, when in fact it is not right.
I read both the Pa. and National Platform Statements from the Republican Party and now understand why there is such an anxiety among the people with an 11-14% approval rating of Congress. The stated beliefs that make up the Republican Party Platform are in conflict with their actions. I give you one example; The creation of the “Home Land Security Agency” is to keep the citizen safe, but the border to the south remains wide open allowing anything and everything from drugs to building of a super highway, come in. Why are we drowning here in this country with an Illegal Immigration problem? The people do not understand the Republican policy that is letting this happen.
We have a fragmented Platform Statement at best and worse there maybe enough there that is not believed to destroy the party and even worse then that, get a liberal “Democrat” elected. The party had better consider raising their “Standards” to something that will be believed. And finally, don’t tell me how bad the other party is because to some it may not be that bad.
“Transparency International, the global coalition against corruption, reported in its “Global Corruption Barometer 2007” that the “general public continues to view parliaments and political parties as the institutions most tainted by corruption around the world,…” The New American Magazine 1/7/08 (page 8)
