Need Some Help
Jun 13th, 2008 by Randy Toman
For all of you living in the Lehigh Valley–Pennsylvania they need some help. (SEE BELOW) Join the taxpayers tea party and let the politicians know it will either be food and gas for the family or tax money to the government/ liberals. And I hope you will choose your families. Get involved; help straighten some of the confusion as to who is working for who.
FYI. Attached is a call for volunteers to help fight the East Penn tax hike, and the press release that was sent today:
Attention Lehigh County
FreedomWorks
Members: Taxpayer Tea
Party in East Penn!
- There is a rapidly growing taxpayer protest in East Penn School District.
- Taxes have increased at 2 ½ times the rate of inflation for the last decade.
- Spending has increased at 3 times the rate of inflation for the last decade.
- East Penn taxpayers are fed up and are saying “enough”. Just drive through the school district and you can see hundreds of yard signs.
- We are putting out 2,000 pieces of literature and will be circulating petitions to oppose the school tax hike, which will be voted on June 23rd.
- Even if you don’t live in the school district, I am asking for your help with this effort. We are all overburdened taxpayers who have a very difficult time fighting irresponsible, big spending politicians. So help out your county neighbors!
- Please contact me if you would like to help over the next 10 days. If you have an hour to give, or more, it will be greatly appreciated!
- Next time, others may help in your fight! We have to unite to succeed.

I suspect that the Democrats are in control. Do we blame the politicians or the people that vote for them? I notice that all states that are more liberal than conservative, are in financial trouble, mainly due to high taxes. When the taxes get too high, the businesses move out. Mr Guzzardi made that point some time back explaining that when the liberal areas start to fall apart due to high crime and high taxes, property values start to drop, they then move into the conservative areas controlled by the Republicans. Who do those people vote for then? Probably the Democrats!
After reading some of the more liberal blog sites, I realize that many of these liberals have little in the way of good moral values and don’t seem to recognize right from wrong.
We only need to look at the product of our failing public school system. The students are NOT taught to know any better. This has been going on for 5 generations now and the parents don’t know any better either. Bill O’Reilly said it best on his program 2 days ago: “the public schools must teach a value based curriculum and about right and wrong instead of being politically correct and telling students that we shouldn’t judge anyone on their conduct.”
What are the young minds to think when they are taught that they are nothing more than the descendants of apes? Now they act like apes! The entertainment industry is doing much damage as well. For the culture to change, the schools must change and that won’t happen unless we get the liberals out of the school system or offer choice to all. Again, we are what we are taught and that goes for the schools, the media, our parents and the churches as well. This is the largest problem we face in America today and it will change this country in a way none of us will like, if we don’t act soon.
Sorry, but the Board has 7 Republicans out of 9. This is the type of thinking that is killing the GOP.
Big spending, Big government, taxing & borrowing Republicans.
Sounds like they should relearn Republicanism or consider other options….
BTW, the tremendous spending growth is not for education - teachers, textbooks, and classrooms. It is exploding in discretionary spending, like every other level of government.
They have plenty of money. They just need to use it wisely and institute reasonable spending controls. But, no, the only answer is to raise taxes - again.
I guess I should have said “liberals” instead of Democrats. Thanks for the correction. You’re right, they are killing the Republican party. I wonder how many of them are taking campaign money from the school unions.
