New Change
Nov 19th, 2008 by Randy Toman
In my last blog posting I wrote of change/evolution and asked the question; what is to be left after all this “Change”? I want to pick up and show you that there is a continuing of these changes that have caused a spiraling downward of the moral, ethic, and is effecting the roots of our social fabric.
We have gone from the old fashion Atheist of yesteryears to what is being called today the “New Atheist”. This new Atheist has all the makings of a religious system which includes a “New Atheist Christmas” and holy books written all on the same theme that is being anti (against) God and His Christ. These New Atheist gospels have been written by writers such as Richard Dawkins, Sam Harris, John Shelby Spong, Richard Holloway, Christopher Hitchen, and Daniel Dennett.
February 12, 2009 will mark the 200th anniversary of the birth of Charles Darwin, the author of the “New Atheist’s” holy book and the New Atheists plan to celebrate the birth of their “Savior” in a big way. Darwin Day is becoming the “New Atheist” equivalent of Christmas. A major world-wide campaign to celebrate Darwin involves Atheist and Humanist Organization, Colleges and Universities, the Media, Government, even Churches. It will be interesting as to the extent this will be promoted around the world and what will be the out come.
As Christopher Hitchen put it:
“Charles Darwin was born in 1809, on the very same day as Abraham Lincoln, and there is no doubt as to which of them has proved to be the greater emancipator.”
We have “Change” coming and I would suspect that there will be another word added to “Change” and we will have “New Change”. This word new has a pleasant sound to it; it almost sounds right and having a connotation of going in the correct/right direction. We have along with the New Atheist, a New Progressive, a New Liberalism, and I’m afraid we will have a lot of new-ness and change coming out of President elect O’bama’s 4 years in office.
Allow me to ask again; what is to be left after all this “New Change” is added? Will we have a “New Constitution” maybe a “New Country” or maybe a “New Citizen”?
The New Atheist rejects the salvation made possible by the Lord Jesus Christ, and in Christ’s place they are substituting Charles Darwin. That is a “New Change” God will not stand for, have no doubt of that.

Where are you meeting these people? I’m an atheist, part of a community of atheists in the valley, and none of us even closely resemble your description. The last thing I want is to have all the trappings of a religion, with its us-vs.-them attitude, early indoctrination, and hatred toward others. You’ve got a lot to worry about — don’t waste any time fretting over atheists who want to pretend they’re religious.
Mr. Beyer,
I’m sure you will agree that we are not born knowing the difference between right or wrong. We must be taught, just like all other “thought”! Teaching comes in the form of reading, hearing, feeling and even seeing others actions.
Where did you learn about the difference between right and wrong or how to conduct yourself around others? What and who were your models? We all MUST have a foundation to base our beliefs on! Man can not do this by himself. Many terrible things have happened since life began and most by the beliefs carried out by individuals like Hitler and others. Even self proclaimed religious people have done extreme damage to others. There must be a foundation, a “rock” of some rules to live by that can not be changed by mere men. Would you agree?
