Our New Values
Mar 7th, 2009 by The Outsider
Growing up in the 40’s and 50’s, I was always taught to work hard and good things will come. I also knew that a good education would help, depending what I wanted to do for a living. I did both and good things came. I get the feeling that these aren’t the things that are being taught today and probably haven’t been for the last 40 years or so. More and more I see people that want the good things in life without paying the price of hard work and study. We all know about the welfare society and all the victim groups, complaining about how they aren’t getting their fair share. They blame the “rich” for not making a good income or for not being able to find employment and others actually believe employment isn’t for them because the rich owe them an income. They are also content with the government taking money from the earners and giving it to them in the form of entitlements. After all, it is only fair they say, since the rich stole it from them. I have actually heard some say that they have a right to steal property belonging to others.
Where did this attitude come from? Isn’t it the Democrat party that pushes for this “equality”, especially among their victim groups? The big problem for all of us is that those victim groups are outnumbering the real victims, and that would be the earners. President Obama is taking this victim mentality to new and much higher levels. He is spending money that hasn’t been earned yet by our children and grandchildren, awhile he himself is living on our tax money and rather nicely I might add. He actually believes all the low income earners and even the unemployed, deserve to live in a home payed for by our taxes. He has even passed a law which gives judges the right to intervene into contracts between home buyers and the loan institutions which will be a disaster for all of us. This is pure Socialism!
The reason this is all happening is pretty simple! Our moral values are slipping away and the government is filling the void. There is no God to many, but there is Obama the Messiah! Taking is replacing giving, welfare is replacing working and good is bad and bad is good! Our society is totally upside down!
It started by liberalism and the so called “progressives”, back in the 60’s with the “hippies”. They believed that everything should be free. Many of these hippies are now professors in our universities and colleges and many are in the Democrat party. They want to create an Utopian society and for the most part many of those people have created their own little Utopian world they live in. We see that with many in the Hollywood circle of actors, actresses and their producers and directors. This unrealistic Utopian world is shared by Obama, Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid and others too numerous to mention. To be sure, they are creating a different world with their policies and it will be anything but Utopian. Many of my friends are being asked to take pay cuts and benefit cuts or be laid off. Many are laid off and many are losing their homes. Most of us are losing half of our life savings. Does Obama care? No! He will continue to live whatever way he wants because he is the Messiah in the eyes of many who elected him. He can do no wrong, besides he “inherited” all this! With the Main Stream Media behind him and his voters being brainwashed by the left in the schools, we are up against a brick wall. That wall is about to come crashing down on us very soon. My financial planner told me that GMC will file for bankruptcy and that Chrysler will also fail in the very near future. We can sit around all day and blame, blame, blame! Instead something should be done to stop the bleeding but we must realize what has caused the bleeding. Simply put, it was greed, corruption and immoral behavior. Irresponsibility runs wild! When we have over half of Obama’s cabinet cheating on their income taxes and being rewarded for it by the Democrat party with the blessings by Obama, the Messiah, we must ask why we deserve not to be in the mess we are in. In spite of Obama hanging around with the likes of Ayres, the Reverend Wright and other unscrupulous charactors, he was voted into office. I think we need to do some soul searching, if not for us but for future generations!
