Rendell Involves Jesus
Oct 15th, 2007 by Randy Toman
“Upstart” seems to be upset, and so am I. I thought the ACLU has made it perfectly clear that there is a separation of Church and State and for our Governor to cross over that line is not right. But then again maybe it is.
Let us see what “Upstart” has to say.
Governer Rendell has always been shameless in my opinion (senior’s like shiny casino lights), but he has hit an all time low.
He stated this past week that all Christian’s should support government health care because Jesus would want us to help the poor.
Let me say, I don’t think Governor Rendell is a Bible scholar, anyone who doesn’t know Jesus, or hasn’t read the Bible, should not go down that road, especially if he is a politician of questionable character. They leave themselves wide open for folks like me to expose them for the frauds that they are. Jesus had a lot to say during His time on earth, but nowhere do I see Him say the government owes anyone a living. Mark 14:7 Jesus says we will always have the poor with us, (so much for the war on poverty), and whenever we can we should do them good. By we I believe He meant people, not entities. Jesus wanted us to love our neighbor and care for one another.
He did not mean give more money to the “Government” so they can love your neighbor. He meant individual charity. From loving your neighbor to giving everyone health care is a stretch. There are doctors all over this country and the world who donate their services all the time. Wealth redistribution is not love; it’s greed on the part of bureaucrats. Jesus had strong feelings about greed. Remember how He cleared the merchant’s from the temple? I liken Rendell to those merchants. The merchants knew the people needed to make sacrifice so they jacked up the price for low quality animals. Health care costs will soar and quality will plummet when the greedy government types take it on themselves.
Do you really think Jesus would approve?

Using Jesus name to get a government policy passed? Sounds just like a Democrat. That’s the only context in which they use religion…..to get something or to promote a vote getting social policy.
