Shall We Perish?

Abraham Lincoln — “Gettysburg Address” November 19th. 1863. His last 18 words of that address say this:
“…and that government of the people , by the people, for the people, shall not perish from this earth.”
John Wycliff (1329-1384) Translated the Latin Vulgate Bible into English (the Wycliff Bible) and gave the English speaking people its’ first English Bible. In it he wrote these words:
“This Bible is for the government, of the people, by the people, and for the people.”
When Wycliff and Lincoln penned those words they both understood what they meant. They thought of government, as something that had an absolute that it answered too. They also understood that the people had a responsibility to the same absolute authority.
We have lost this understanding of the absolute authority and the critical part it played in the binding together of the social fabric.
Both Church and State are under this absolute authority and it cannot be separated or done away with in the one or both. It does not matter that the Church’s primary concern is in the spiritual realm, while the State would be responsible for the social fabric and safety of society.
This absolute authority is God himself and His authority is given to us through His law word. The fact that the church has the added burden of caring for the peoples’ souls changes nothing as far as who is in charge or who’s law they fall under. Any attempt to do away with and/or change God law would be an offense to Him and to that law. Also any attempt to understand Western Civilization without God’s law is to falsify history.
We cannot have government of the people, by the people, and for the people, unless there is some common ground between those same people. The “OF”, “BY”, and “FOR” leaves no room for negotiations for anybody and there must be an absolute law. It will be God’s Law or some man’s law.
The understanding between the “Democrats” and “Republicans” has broken down, the D’s follow their law, while the R’s don’t know what they are following, and reasoning together is impossible and common ground is not to be found. We cannot stand if this situation lasts for any length of time, we must change and return to God’s Law.
Laws of any culture are religious in origin and they reflect the god of that culture. The Republicans will not acknowledge that, the Democrats cannot. If so—-“WE SHALL PERISH”
Psalms 9:20 King James
Put them in fear, O Lord: that the nations may know themselves to be but men.
