This issue of support is much deeper then a simple up or down vote. What Senator Spector voting record shows the people is that, the GOP leadership has come to the point were just looking at were the candidate position is, on any given issue, is not going to be effective in building the party.
It should now be much clearer to the GOP leadership that, Philosophical positions and over all world-views must be considered by party leaders. If standard are to be elevated and principles re-in-state this simple process of evaluating future candidates by their World-view must be implemented and a World-view of the candidate positioning must be considered.
The words such as Socialism, Democracy, Republic, Marxism are now becoming-common place in its’ usage, both on the Internet and on talk shows. Is it not reasonable that our leadership understand that and what those words mean? We may still have our sovereignty, but the World-views of the rest of the globe are affecting the people of this country. The fact that we started this great nation as a Republic and it is now being challenged with a World-view called Socialism cannot be deigned. If it is true, that, Republicans cannot be Socialist, would it not be wise of our LEADERSHIP to guard against support of a candidate that has philosophical tendencies and/or believe in the philosophy of Socialism.
I guess the question must be, can you have a Republican that is a Socialist? We already know that a Democrat can be a Socialist. If it turns out that Republicans can be Socialist I guess we are doomed as a Capitalist Republic. You Republican Leaders had better figure out what the heck you are going to do with this SENATOR and your PARTY. The Socialist World-view has now become Standards, in the Democratic Party anyway, and is about to effect the whole country and the Republican Party.
