From FOX News: ”After weeks of secretive talks, three Democrats and three Republicans on the Senate Finance Committee were edging closer to a compromise that excludes a requirement many congressional Democrats seek for large businesses to offer coverage to their workers. Nor would there be a provision for a government insurance option, despite Obama’s support for such a plan, officials said.”
“The Finance senators were considering a tax of as much as 35 percent on very high-cost insurance policies, part of an attempt to rein in rapid escalation of costs. Also likely to be included in any deal was creation of a commission charged with slowing the growth of Medicare.”

Why are we allowing the government to make our decisions for us? Are we too lazy or too stupid to think for ourselves? Six “moderates”, three from each party are involved in secret meetings to make an alternate health care insurance plan to Obama’s Socialist plan to undermine private health care companies. The only members mentioned are Olympia Snow (R) and Mike Ross (D).
“The officials spoke on condition of anonymity, saying they were not authorized to discuss matters under private negotiations.” Real convenient, wouldn’t you say? Why don’t the people have a right to know who these people are or all the details of the plan that will be forced on us? This plan, although better than the plan that the other Democrats will write, is still taking away our rights. All the politicians that make laws against our freedoms should be prosecuted and put in prison for treason. That’s what the writers of our constitution would have done and the people would have demanded it. We have become gutless and ignorant of history as a result of being led down the path of Socialism and political correctness and are nothing more than a faint shadow of what we used to be. We have become a nation of “wanters” instead of givers. How can this continue? What happens when we run out of givers and the liberal politicians have no one to steal from to increase their voter base? By then, it won’t matter! We will have only one party and that will lead to even more corruption and total control of all of us. The mainstream media wants this, (already part of the Democrat Socialist party), along with Obama and his anti-American friends but is this the “change” the people want? The time to prevent this from being the law of the land is running out!
