War On Women?
Jan 31st, 2013 by The Outsider
Obama and the Democrats have been claiming that Republicans are against woman getting free birth control and object to woman having their own babies killed through abortion. Democrats say that is “waging war” on woman.
So now the Democrats want woman to have the same opportunities to go into combat as the men do. Now, that’s what I call waging war on woman! Hypocricy! They want “equality” so bad that they are equally willing to allow woman to get killed as the men do on the front lines. Maybe they consider that the same priority as “equal pay” for woman. Wow! The Democrats are all heart! Obama’s children should be the first to sign up for selective service since it’s only fair!

Speaking of hypocrisy…were you actively criticizing the Bush administration when they had women in combat environments in Iraq, and talking about how wonderful it was that Jessica Lynch participated in a firefight?
“how wonderful it was that Jessica Lynch participated in a firefight”
I never commented on Jessica Lynch any more than you commented on her. I also don’t see you commenting on my post in agreement with me. You make a lot of assumptions with nothing to back it up!
I don’t support woman in combat and I don’t agree with woman assisting in combat missions. The latter is often the case when woman “electively” join the military!
Outsider, thanks for posting my response. Please note that it was in the form of a question. There are several possible answers, among them:
“Yes, I recognized the evil practice of the Bush administration in putting women into arms-carrying/combat roles, and spoke out against it”.
“No, I really was unaware of the Jessica Lynch story and the other women placed in combat zones by George W. Bush, so I was unable to comment on it back then”.
“My worldview has changed since then and back then I saw nothing wrong with this evil practice”
“I only find things evil if done by Democrats; when Republicans do them, I try to cover it up and defend it, or ignore it, or twist it in a way to blame the Democrats”
There are other possibilities of course, and I am not pinning anything on you personally.
My larger point is that the evangelical community, as a whole (from my experience and observation), falls into the last category:
“I only find things evil if done by Democrats; when Repoublicans do the same things, I try to cover it up and defend it, or twist it in a way to blame the Democrats”
