We shall see—-Maybe?

Is Virtue synonymous with Liberalism or Righteousness synonymous with Conservatism? The answer is obvious no in both cases, so I wish the Radio Talk Show Guys would start to ask if a position held by whoever or whatever candidate has any truth to their position and/or is what they are saying truthful. If we cannot come to some standard and agreement as to what truth is then I afraid we shall all self-destruct and perish together.
I don’t want to be called a conservative any more I rather you call me a truth seeker, or one who seeks the truth. And that if this guy (me) is to be that one who seeks the truth he should get that truth from somewhere that is a higher authority then himself. I don’t think that is an unreasonable premise that one assumes when in a dialect or seeking truth.
I had some e-mail correspondence with a State Representative this past week and in his answer back to me he said that he knew I never voted for a Democrat in the past and that I will never vote for one in the future. How he knew that I will never know. I told him I had to respond to that remark and this is what I tried to say. Yes he was right I never voted for a Democrat in the past and if the Democrats were not “ socialist” I would consider voting for one in the future. And that he should send me their names, including his and I would take them into consideration with the idea of possibly voting for one of them in the future. There were other things I said to him like he should take a look at his newsletter he puts out to his people and tell me it was not a Socialist government give-away program bulletin. And the fact that I was speaking so frankly to him, if he wished me to, I would be happy to call his office and setup an appointment and we could discuss these matters face to face as two gentlemen should. As of this posting he has not contacted me with regards to the fact I should contact his office and go ahead and set-up this appointment.
With regards to this virtue and righteous stuff I mention, there are some interesting things happening within the local Lehigh County Republican Party. This thing gives me some serious hope that the grand old Elephant may not be dead after all. My understanding is that a document maybe presented the end of the month at the Republican Party’s monthly meeting. If that turns out to be true and the presentation does take place I would venture a guess and say there is going to be some serious discussion and hopefully a raising of both Hope and Activity. They (the local Republican Party) may be poised to take on the issues and themselves with solid principles under their Platform. We shall see, stay tuned.
