What is wrong—Part 2

I said I didn’t want to get religious in my last article “What is Wrong—We stand accused” http://www.lehighvalleyconservative.com/what-is-wrong-we-stand-accused/ and I said this:
“I’m not getting religious and/or claiming any path to heaven although I believe it is through Jesus Christ, that man can get to God, but let that rest for now and/or another time.”
Let us now put a religious tone to what is happening by bringing sinful man into the heart of the issue. My dear friend Paul M. Elliott president of “Teaching the Word Ministries” has written an interesting article http://www.teachingtheword.org/content_tq/articles/tq0165/article_tq0165.htm
We have had from the late 1800’s two elements that have devastated the country and the very make-up of the country. Those two elements were the “Progressive movement” and the “Social Gospel of Liberalism” both attacking the Sovereignty of God and the atoning work of Jesus Christ. In conjunction with this attack on the Gospel there came the must needed attack on the “Constitution”. If nothing more Dr. Elliott’s article shows the attack has been consistent and continual, with peaks of efforts coming and then subsiding.
It can be shown, and I believe we are in, a peak effort by the evil one. The deterioration of the social fabric is undeniable, the in ability to solve problems is seen on every side and at every level of government, the complete lack of standards and/or law with nothing being fixed and absolute, not God, not the Gospel. What a better combination of “Things”, does one need to have, we have lost our way, and we are without a savior “Jesus Christ”.
