What is wrong with the Constitution?
Jul 8th, 2012 by Randy Toman
YHWH (most often pronounced Yahweh) the principle Hebrew name of the God of the Bible. Let me start by making a few points of qualification and clarification of my position.
1/ It must be understood I speak of the country and the world as does Matthew Chapter 6 verse 10` does. (King James Bible) “Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.”
2/ Christians have a responsibility to up hold Biblical/Christian principles in every aspect of life.
3/ The Constitution is not a Biblical document and should not take preference over the Bible and what it teaches.
4/ Christians have confused the constitution as a document that represents something holy and thereby have confused it to the point it now supersedes God and Biblical law—-a serious form of Idolatry.
5/ Not everyone claiming to be a Christian is in truth a believer in Jesus Christ, His blood and saving work on the cross.
6/ The fact that the term Christian is used so loosely confuses the issue even more, with those not understanding the meaning of Christianity and far less the knowledge of what is taught in the Bible and of God’s Law.
With the above 6 points made, you may begin to understand why I say——–The following are some areas needed to be looked at carefully as infractions against Yahweh and His Biblical teaching.
(A) The Preamble substitutes “We the people…” as a new national god for Yahweh.
The substitution may sound like a small thing but I can assure you it at one time was not. From the 1620 all the way up until 1770’s localized governments would never think to make that mistake of substituting “We the people…” in the preamble. The early founders understood Psalm 118: 8,9—(King James Bible)
(8) It is better to trust in the Lord than to put confidence in man.
(9) It is better to trust in the Lord than to put confidence in princes.
(B) Article 1—– usurpation of Yahweh’s legislative powers—-“All legislative powers here in granted be vested in a Congress…”
All government are Theo-centric—-meaning they have a god center rule—-it will be man as god and/or his type of god—-or—-it will be Yahweh as Lord—-it will be man centered or it will be God centered. Innocently ( I doubt) or by design they (the founders) substituted man for Yahweh and it has taken some 200+ years to get to President Obama and no one or but few understand what is wrong or what has happen.
In the Ted R. Weiland book “Bible Law Vs. the Constitution” 2011 Page 6
We have this:
“A change of law and government occurred in the late 1700’s, not only from English rule but also from the Colonies Biblically based governments. From that moment on, the nation that had been predominately Christian became progressively Secular and Humanistic.”
We wonder why the Supreme Court gave us “Obama Care” when supposedly a large percentage of the people did not want it. Why did that happen?
Habakkuk 1:3,4 gives us the answer. (King James Bible)
(3) Why dost thou shew me iniquity, and cause me to behold grievance? For spoiling and violence are before me: and there are that raise up strife and contention.
(4) Therefore the law is slacked, and judgment doth never go forth: for the wicked doth compass about the righteous; therefore wrong judgment proceedeth.
Expanding on the answer we have this in Psalms 12:8 (KJB)
“The wicked walk on every side, when the vilest men are exalted.”
Psalms 58:1,2
(1) “Do ye indeed speak righteousness, O Congregation? Do ye judge uprightly, O ye sons of men?”
(2) “Yea, in heart ye work wickedness; Ye weigh the violence of your hands in the earth.”
Understanding the differences in the way we have slipped is difficult but understanding the why it was or is caused by a love of the “Constitution” is almost impossible unless it is viewed through the lens of Yehweh’s Bible and His law.
Gary DeMar and Peter Leithard “The Reduction of Christianity: a Biblical Response to Dave Hunt” American Vision (1988) pg.300——gives us some serious insight into the problem.
“ A nation’s religious foundation can be determined by looking at its economic system, judicial pronouncement, educational goals, and taxing policy. Culture is “religion externalized.” Look at the nation’s art and music, and there you will find its religion. Read its books and newspapers. Watch its television programs. The out growth of civilization will be present on every page and in every program. The habits of individuals and families are also indicators of a nation’s religious commitments. The sum of all these expressions will lead us to a nation’s religious commitments. While it might be beneficial to look at the creeds of the church, the actions of the people who subscribe to the creeds are a more accurate barometer of what the people really believe.”
Have we not evolved and fallen to what we believe? That I am afraid is an absolute truth and we must say—–YES—-We the People—have fallen a little with each passing generation.
1/The constitution started by commandeering executive sovereignty from Yahweh and giving it to: (Article 2) “The executive power shall be vested in the president…”
2/ (Article 3) Supplanting of Yahweh’s judgment and Scriptures. “The judicial power of the United States shall be vested in one supreme court…”
3/ (Article 6) Repudiation of Christianity 3rd paragraph last sentence. “…but no religious test shall ever be required as a qualification to any office or public trust under the United States.”
4/ Amendment #1—–promotes pluralism, polytheism, and Idolatry.
5/Amendment 2—-Rather then the Biblical right to bear arms and protect the family we are arguing with the state as to whose right it is.
6/ Amendment 8 —-condemnation of Yahweh’s judgment——“Excessive bail shall not be required, nor excessive fines imposed, nor cruel and unusual punishments inflicted.”
This article has a point——the constitution never was a document that will hold power over EVIL men and it never was written to honor Yahweh. It is a man centered document with man as the god, it can not nor will not hold anyone or anything in check but a God fearing people and those Yahweh fearing people will only be followers of Jesus Christ.
Patrick Henry of “Give me liberty or give me death” fame said; this in a voice of concern before the Virginia ratifying convention of 1788.
“I say our privileged and rights are in danger…the new form of Government…will…effectually…oppress and ruin the people…. In some parts of the plan before you, the great rights of freeman are endangered, in other parts, absolutely taken away…. There will be no checks, no real balances, in this government: What can avail your specious imaginary balances, your rope-dancing, chain-rattling, ridiculous ideal checks and contrivances? …and yet who knows the dangers that this new system may produce: they are out of the sight of the common people: they cannot foresee latent consequences…. I see great jeopardy in this new government.”
Speeches of Patrick Henry (June 5 and 7 1788) “The Anti-Federalist Papers and the Constitutional Convention Debates” (New York, NY : Penguin Books) 2003 2nd ed
PP. 200-08.
Because the Secular Humanist will not pray nor will they be heard or answered if in fact they do pray, and with a smaller and smaller percentage of Godly believers praying—-a serious problem is upon us and forces the question—can the country be saved?
This in fact is concerning because Proverbs 28:9 makes it quite clear as to what is going to happen and throws some light on the question.
“He that turneth away his ear from hearing the law (Yahweh), even his prayer shall be abomination.” (KJV)
As the culture, country and the body politics gets further and further away from Yahweh is it no wonder the problems will grow larger—with much confusion? We have started this country with a large percentage of true believers (Christians) and have ever so slowly turned the culture and country into a cesspool of people who would not know Yahweh—even as HE punishes them.
WE (the people) Shall See —-don’t you think???????

Randy, a few comments:
1. “The Preamble substitutes “We the people…” as a new national god for Yahweh.” The Constitution is a contractual document whereby the people, through the states, established a very limited federal government. The constitution was to define the power and function of the government. Question: when we sign over a deed for real property, do we have to start by mentioning that God is the ultimate owner of everything? We could, but if we don’t, that does not mean that we don’t believe or function that way. When we order dinner, with the understanding that we will pay for it, do we go through the formality with the waiter or waitress to set it clear that both the food and the “money” are ultimately God’s? No. But that does not affect the fact that both are. So when we say “I am selling you this land for the sum of …”, we are not blaspheming by saying “I” am selling the land.
2, “Article 1—– usurpation of Yahweh’s legislative powers—-“All legislative powers here in granted be vested in a Congress…”
All government are Theo-centric—-meaning they have a god center rule—-it will be man as god and/or his type of god—-or—-it will be Yahweh as Lord—-it will be man centered or it will be God centered. Innocently ( I doubt) or by design they (the founders) substituted man for Yahweh and it has taken some 200+ years to get to President Obama and no one or but few understand what is wrong or what has happen.” This sounds good, but…and I am not trying to be disrespectful here…if they had said “all legislative powers here in granted [note…see article 1 section 8] be vested in God”…how would we formulate a budget? I really don’t think God would do it for us.
3. “Christians have confused the constitution as a document that represents something holy and thereby have confused it to the point it now supersedes God and Biblical law—-a serious form of Idolatry.” Yes, this does happen and should not. But I don’t think it is a major problem, in terms of being widespread. The bigger problem is that Christians have little regard for the constitution, and are willing to vote for candidates who constantly violate it.
4. “We wonder why the Supreme Court gave us “Obama Care” when supposedly a large percentage of the people did not want it. Why did that happen?” If they had followed the Constitution it would not have happened.
5. “Understanding the differences in the way we have slipped is difficult but understanding the why it was or is caused by a love of the “Constitution” is almost impossible unless it is viewed through the lens of Yehweh’s Bible and His law.” Again, a lawful biblical contract or transaction is made on Biblical principles. It’s fine and necessary to preach the law of God, but if it is understood and believed then it is not necessary to repeat it every time we buy a sandwich or sell a car. And if it is not understood and believed, then repeating it will make no difference anyway.
It might have been a good idea to more explicitly acknowledge Jesus Christ and God’s law in the constitution, but I think Weiland’s approach of trashing both the constitution and the founders because it was not is both counterproductive and silly.
And, I could be all wrong on this, there’s always a lot to learn.
Reading this diatribe makes me appreciate the Constitution even more!
I agree with much of Arrows rebuttal. Well thought out, Arrow!
