Pennsylvania politics Quoted from the Morning Call and sounds like a typical justification for anything done within the political arena:  “…been going on for decades”

“The Democratic governor, who shared the White House’s preference for Arlen Specter, said the issue of whether Sestak was offered a job in the Obama administration to get out of the Democratic Senate primary race against Specter has become a distraction that will only linger if not addressed.”

“Rendell was quick to say he does not believe anything illegal took place. ”What’s gone on is what’s been going on for decades,” he said.”

Let me offer up my 2 cents in the way of a commentary.  Whether Sestak was offered a bribe or not by definition is not the issue any more.  Sestak says he was offered a job to get him out of the race, at least that is what he thinks happened in some conversation somewhere in the past.

Even Democratic politicians are asking to have the air cleared.

“Rendell, Durbin and Rep. Anthony Weiner of New York, the three Democrats who have now said publicly that Sestak and the White House should clear the air, did not volunteer that on their own, but were responding to direct questions from reporters.”  (See link above)

I want to take Sestak’s remark off on just a little different direction, assuming his definition of a bribe is correct and yes in deed it was just that; somebody in the Obama administration did in fact test the waters to see if Sestak would sell his soul, they offer him a position to remove himself.   Now these were all big boys and they knew exactly what was coming down, and after the short encounter, because Sestak said, “No deal”, the meeting by the water cooler broke up rather quickly.  Let also assume as Sestak was walking away from the Water Cooler he realized he was in deep trouble, he had just handed himself the kiss of political death by going directly against someone or something.  What is a person to do? 

If that was to happen to any normal person, (not a political animal) the person would probably think; how dare they ask me to get out of the race and possibly not even focus on the fact that they had just been bribed.  But old street smart Mr. Sestak knew he needed some protection and insurance that he wasn’t going to get torpedoed by whoever at some future date. 

Now what better insurance can he get but by firing a shot across the bow of the person in letting the water cooler conversation leak out to the press and let them know don’t mess with me, he (Sestak) add extra insurance for himself by winning.  The unfortunate – ness of the situation in Mr. Sestak protection plan (Press leak on the water cooler conversation) and (primary win) will not die and the seriousness of the issue keeps annoying everyone. 

We shall see if the spineless Republicans can bring the situation in to the light of truth.  And poor old Mr. Sestak is caught with his insurance plan about to go up in smoke and the other party at the water cooler had better start looking for their “LAMB” sacrificial.  My guess is, this is not going away and will be something like the birth certificate Obama will not produce, it’s there but never shown or proved him to be a citizen.

The sadness of the situation is the citizen is going to take it on the chin again.  WE SHALL SEE
