Many of us are totally confused about where our “conservative” leaders are, especially in this presidential race. Has the definition of conservatism changed since Reagan? If so, why and what has driven this change? Could the American people themselves be to blame or are the politicians on both sides competing to buy more votes than the other, to stay in power? Yes they are! There is no doubt that this tactic has been going on for years and is getting our country into a lot of trouble.

True leadership is gone and the very foundation we stand on as a nation is getting weaker with each election. A dumbed down electorate is only making things worse. What came first? A clueless, society that only cares about self and not about what is good for all of us and our country, or a government that led the way for all this to happen, by excusing bad behavior of our politicians, since they are more like celebrities than leaders? Are we voting for celebrities offering promises because of what WE want? Shouldn’t we be the “us” society instead of the “me” society? Did we sell our souls to get something for nothing? Is anything really free?

An educated society would know better. When I say educated, I mean in being taught all the typical subject matter, but more importantly, traditional values and moral values as well. Knowing right from wrong is essential for our existance. Our educational sytem and our religious leaders better get on the ball quickly. That includes our politicians!
